First Aid Requalification

Course Overview

This qualification is ideal for those already working, or preparing to work, within industry who wish to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Subjects covered include Incident Management, Casualty Head to Toe Survey, CPR, Minor Injuries, Major Illnesses, Head and Chest Injuries, Suspected Spinal Injuries, Burns and Scalds and Sudden Poisoning.

Who should attend?

Those who have previously attended the initial 3 day First Aid at Work course 3 years prior to attending the re-qualification, but no more than 28 days after the date of expiry on their original certificate.

Course Content

At the end of the course, delegates will have covered the following:

  • Accidents and illness.

  • Using a first aid kit.

  • Simple record keeping.

  • Treatment of an unconscious casualty.

  • Heart attacks.

  • Resuscitation.

  • Shock.

  • Choking.

  • Bleeding.

  • Burns and Scalds.

  • Poisoning.

  • Fractures.

  • Seizures.

  • Asthma.

  • Severe allergic reaction.

  • Eye injuries.

  • Diabetes.

  • Fainting.


After completing a final assessment successful delegates receive an approved certificate, which is valid for 3 years.

This course is 2 days. (Previous Certificate will be required).

Please note that the maximum number of delegates for this course is between  6-12 depending on the awarding body.
